Who should submit?
We are currently accepting material from young Canadian writers and illustrators only. We are also looking for illustrators and photography. If visual art is your thing we would love to publish your work.
What should I submit?
We accept up to 3000 word short fiction in all genres. Poetry submissions are accepted in any poetic style up to 20 lines in length. Editorial/opinion pieces, 500 words or fewer, from young adults 19 and under. Thumbnail samples of your artwork or photography. If you would like to do a book review for What If? please contact us for our current list.
Rights and Payment
What If? supplies three contributors copies. We accept only material where the author/illustrator owns full rights.
Is there a reading/submission fee?
There is currently no reading fee for submissions to What If?
