After a long wait the newest additions to the Pokemon series, Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, have arrived. The new titles contain many new features as well as some of the best of its predecessors. One of the most notable features is the games new online capabilities. Using the DS's wireless you can connect to the internet and have head to head battles or trade Pokemon with other Pokemon Trainers around the world.

Another feature that has seen a great improvement is the night/day feature, now using the DS's built in clock it gives the game a much more real time feel.

With the arrival of the new game there has been an entire new batch of Pokemon introduced. There are over a hundred new Pokemon and at first some of them may seem awkward or even not like real Pokemon but after playing the game for a bit they'll start to grow on you.

The story of the game is similar to all the previous games released. You start out in a small town, twinleaf, and must travel the Sinnoh region catching and training your Pokemon. Along the way you battle many trainers on your way to battle the elite four.

Aside from the story the game play and graphics have seen a good improvement. Altogether Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are a must have for any enthusiast of the previous games or even to introduce someone entirely new to them.
