Interview – Behind the Scenes with Quadruple Threat Rebekah Miskin

Rebekah Miskin is an award-winning dancer, actress, writer, and producer. At eighteen, she produced and starred in her first short film, Anya. Now, at twenty, she’s about to release Figurative Reality, a film based on grief, sanity, and the phenomenon of the alter ego. When she sat down with What If?’s Chelsey Cosh, she had tons to say, from hiring friends for her films to her love of Hemingway and Shakespeare.

Q:Tell me about your new film, Figurative Reality.

A:Figurative Reality is a short film that was co-written, directed, produced, and starred Katie Boland and me. It took us just over a year to write, and then we shot it in October [2009]. Although Katie and I are primarily actresses, we wanted to do a project where we got to work with all the fun and talented people we know. Some people we worked with included actor Kit Weyman, producer Erika Lobko, and director of photography Joshua Fraiman … all so talented and great. Read the rest of this entry »
